KWASS conducted one Seminar on 10/7/18 in collaboration with SEBI and MCX at Hotel Middleton Chamber, 10, Middleton street. About 155 members joined the programme and it was a grand success. We are publishing some pictures of the Seminar for your information. It is to be noted that all the pictures (about 83 in number) have been taken by our member Shri Prabir Kumar Sur and supplied to us.  Mr. Sur has done this entire job entirely on volunteer basis for the Association and not taken a single paisa for the same. It reflects his bonding with KWASS and we convey our sincere thanks to Mr. Sur on behalf of KWASS.

SEMINAR on Commodity Futures & Options held on 10/07/2018 at Hotel Middleton chamber

Kolkata Welfare Association of Small Shareholders in collaboration with MCX and SEBI organized one SEMINAR on Commodity Futures & Options on 10th July, 2018 at Hotel Middleton Chamber, 10 Middleton St, Kol-71. Before starting of the programme the participants were served Cold Drinks, Tea & Snacks and then the Seminar starts at 6pm and continued for about 2 hours. About 155 members joined the Seminar and each & every participant was very much satisfied with the contents of the programme, delivery style & knowledge of the Speaker, beautiful environment of the Hotel and delicious food. As per schedule the buffet dinner (both veg & non veg) started at 8.15 pm and every participant enjoyed the food. The entire programme concluded very peacefully & satisfactorily due to cooperation of the members present at the Seminar.

SEBI restriction on Transfer of Physical Share

On 8th June 2018 , SEBI has notified vide Notification No SEBI/LADNRO/GN/2018/24 by issuing SEBI (listing obligations and disclosure requirements) (fourth amendment) Regulations, 2018 that except in case of transmission or transposition of securities, requests for effecting the transfer of securities shall not be processed unless the securities are held in the dematerealised  form with a depository.  In other words, there will not be any transfer of physical share after 5th December, 2018.

SEBI has decided to amend Regulation 40 of the SEBI  Regulations 2015 which deals with transfer or transmission or transposition of securities.

According to this amendment, the request for effecting the transfer of listed securities shall not be processed unless the securities are held in the dematerealised form with a depository. Therefore, for effecting any transfer, the securities shall mandetorily required to be in Demat form.

It is to be noted that the holder can continue to hold the shares in physical form but one can not transfer the same in physical form.

Kolkata Welfare Association of Small Shareholders (KWASS) is pleased to announce that our next SEMINAR will be held on 10/07/2018 at Hotel Middleton Chamber followed by Dinner. The admission to the venue is restricted to members only and only one member is allowed per entry card. As the programme is jointly conducted by one Regulatory body, one Financial Institution & KWASS, hence it is  one of the most prestigious programme of KWASS and  all participants are requested to maintain strict discipline till end of the programme to highlight the image of the Association. KWASS will communicate  and handover entry card to the selected members in due course.
