Procedure to get refund of Shares,Unpaid dividend, Debenture to Investor Education & Protection Fund (IEPF)

Investor/Depositors, whose shares,unpaid dividends, debenture have been transferred to Investor Education & Protection Fund (IEPF) under companies Act 1956/2013, can claim refund as per following procedure.

1) Claimant to file in e-form (available online at www.iepf.gov.in)

2) Take a printout and submit a copy of filled e-form with requisite document to the concerned company.

3) Nodal officer of the company will verify the claim and furnish the verification report to IEPF Authority within 15 days

4) On the basis of verification report, refund will be released by IEPF Authority in favour of claimants account through electronic transfer.

Transfer of Physical Share- Extention of date

The Board, on March 28,2018 decided that except in case of transmission or transposition of securities, request for effecting transfer of securities shall not be processed unless the securities  are held in the dematerialized form with a depository. This measure was to come in to effect from Dec 5, 2018. Subsequently, SEBI has received representations from shareholders for extension of the date of compliance. In view of the same, the deadline has been extended and the aforesaid requirement of transfer of securities only in demat form shall now come into force from April 1, 2019.
